INTRODUCTION
Anal itching or pruritus ani is the frequently observed in the ano rectal diseases. Here are some few causes mostly found related with anal itching.
- Haemorrhoids, fissure, fistula and prolapsed of the rectum etc.
- Genital warts can produce anal itching. It is one of the viral infections; condyloma acuminate is the common condition in this region.
- Presence Worm infestation like thread worm pin worm can give rise anal itching.
- Scabies or lices infestation around the anus can give rise to anal itching.
- Napkin or diaper rash especially in children and adult can be a cause of anal itching.
